Spring 2021 – dates to be confirmed.

I am delighted to be included in the forthcoming exhibition ‘Light and Dark’ at The Tarpey Gallery near Derby. Due to lockdown, I have yet to visit but an online viewing reveals a series of beautiful, light exhibition spaces and a list of gallery artists whose work arouses a metaphorical, aesthetic frothing at the mouth.

“The opening of the Tarpey Gallery in the small town of Castle Donington in late 2009, has been a cause for some celebration. For this is a large, light and beautifully converted space dedicated to showing top-class uncompromisingly contemporary work”
Nicholas Usherwood, Galleries Magazine, July 2011

The Tarpey is a contemporary fine art gallery in the East Midlands featuring original artwork by leading artists in their respective disciplines of painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture. Located in the village of Castle Donington in North West Leicestershire, close to M1 and M42 networks and within easy reach of Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. The gallery itself, a beautifully converted barn, is situated behind one of the oldest buildings in Castle Donington. This thatched cottage dates back to the Tudor period and is set in beautiful gardens surrounded by trees and farmland.

The gallery is currently broken up into four main exhibition spaces, the first of which is the main gallery space where currently around seven major exhibitions a year are held, each lasting around six weeks. The second, third and upstairs gallery spaces feature a rotating collection of work by the gallery’s represented artists.

More information when available.

Gallery currently closed due to National Lockdown.

Normal Opening Times - Thursday – Sunday, 10am – 5pm
